the switch mechanism slid forward and the on off button came out rendering the damned thing useless. Not dependable despite the rugged external construction By: R. Brown, on January 1, 2018 Pros: Cons: "Metal casing ... looks bomb proof and with a spike to break glass and hasten escape in an emergency. However, the internal switch mechanism sits loose inside the casing. I dropped mine just as you might do in an emergency , the switch mechanism slid forward and the on off button came out rendering the damned thing useless. Not dependable despite the rugged external construction. |

Great torch for multiple applications By: Karl, on April 6, 2016 Pros: Cons: "Packaging ======== The ThorFire VG15 Torch arrived in a brown box with a branding sticker, the box included the torch, canvas pouch, wrist strap and also spare parts (Glass Lens, Switch, O-Rings). I was impressed with the spare parts received these are not normally provided with any torch I have ordered before! Quality ======== The torch itself is a durable aluminium construction and has a weight that makes you know it is a quality product, I have used the torch quite a few... |

Very good value, works well By: Chris M, on February 8, 2016 Pros: Cons: "I own a lot of torches and at this price point this torch is a very good basic torch that comes with a good range of charging accessories. First of all the metal body feels very well made and well-constructed, but in use the torch gives off a lot of light, perfectly adequate for winter walks or just seeing your way generally in close proximity. You can ‘zoom’ on the torch by turning the head mechanism, in use I didn’t find this hugely useful, as the brightness... |

Good value By: G. Hutchinson, on February 5, 2016 Pros: Cons: "I wanted a strong and small torch for a few reasons: something easily portable that I could read with without blinding myself, a strong light to find things in the dark, and a very strong light to blind muggers and such. I had looked around quite a bit over the past few weeks and came across this unit. At first I thought it was far too expensive, then I noticed the 25% discount - when taking the description & reviews into account I was heading that way. A bit more research online and I decided the... |

Another excellent torch from Thorfire By: Dave, on January 31, 2016 Pros: Cons: "I seem to be getting a bit on an addiction for these lower price "budget lights" after many years of spending a lot more money on Surefires, Maglights and the like. I was looking for a good slim torch with a pocket clip and this Thorfire VG15 seemed to fit the bill. It arrived packaged well above what I had expected it to be in a well made, strong cardboard box, and internally protected in a sandwich of high density foam. Upon unpackaging the torch I was quite surprised by all the bits... |

Blindingly good pocket torch for walkers travelling light By: Jack Hughes, on January 17, 2016 Pros: Cons: "I'm a year-round dog walker, therefore long time LED torch fanatic, and have bought many, many, torches of various sizes and output ratings. Until very recently my favourites were always LED Lenser torches, the P7, P7.2, and P14 in particular, and I still rate these very highly, firstly because of the ability to focus/zoom the beam, but also because they use standard AA or AAA batteries, and by implication rechargeable NiMHs. I only recently started to look at the new world of torches powered by... |

Incredibly bright, multi-function torch is light, durable and waterproof!!! (Batteries not included) By: Terry, on December 10, 2015 Pros: Cons: "If you are looking for a torch that is top quality and incredibly bright, designed well, yet affordable, look no further; this torch fulfills all of those!!! Design: 10. Firstly, the thing that surprised me most when this torch first arrived was it's size. It is just 75g (110 with the battery) and is about 10cm long and not very thick at all. Most torches that are 800+ lumen and are this bright have dimensions which double the ones of these torch. It is light, small and very compact... |

A very good head torch for running By: Amazon Customer, on November 19, 2015 Pros: Cons: "I use the torch for running. It was very stable on my head and never slipped down even on hill ascents / descents (which is a problem I have had with other head torches. As a very light torch it also meant there was no discomfort from having it on my head for prolonged periods. I used the main white mainly, the twin white was a bit better for depth perception on uneven ground. The battery life is seems really good, no noticeable deterioration after 8 hours of use so far. On main and country... |

Super bright and rugged. By: Tee, on October 18, 2015 Pros: Cons: "This is a very nicely constructed torch light and it's fitted with the super bright Cree XM-L2 LED. It has excellent water and dust proofing and the black anodised aluminium is nicely finished with detailed knurling and machining. It is light weight and a convenient pocket size for everyday carrying and even comes with a carry pouch with belt loop and also some spare parts. The torch light has a simple single button operation for two lighting modes (solid and strobe) and 4 brightness levels in... |

Lightweight and bright, but no way to lock this torch off By: Paul Nicholson, on September 7, 2015 Pros: Cons: "This torch is lightweight, bright, and comfortable to wear with a good range of headband adjustment. The tilt ratchet is stiff enough not to slip down if you're jogging. The red light and the dimmer are very useful for extending the battery life and building up your night vision. You can start your night walk on full white and gradually dim it down as your eyes adapt, then switch to red. Unlike many red/white torches, the red on this torch is actually bright enough to walk with. Some... |

By: , on December 13, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Easy to set up and clips to standard risras with no wobbles. The main flaw is that I got this mainly for the strobe functio after being on the other end of a strobe during an airsoft game. The light must be turned on the off and then on again for the strobe to work. It cannot be set to be on strobe mode from right away. When playing fast paced CQB you simply don't have time to be switching it on,off and on again for a strobe effect. If this was strobe only, or with two set settings I... |
